A faster, cleaner WooCommerce store for a fine diamond jewellery brand — rebuilt for speed, stripped of plugin bloat and redesigned so the shopping experience feels as premium as the jewellery.
What needed solving
Rrena sells certified diamond and lab-grown solitaire jewellery online — rings, earrings, bracelets, bangles, necklaces and the VERVE 925-silver line. For a luxury brand, the website is the showroom, but theirs was holding sales back.
- Too slow. Product and category pages took [X+ seconds] to load, especially on mobile, with heavy unoptimised product imagery.
- Plugin overload. Years of add-ons had piled up to [XX] plugins — overlapping, conflicting and loading scripts on every page.
- Hard to shop. A large catalogue with dozens of sub-categories was difficult to navigate, trust signals were buried and the mobile experience felt cramped.
How we approached it
Plugin audit & cleanup. We reviewed every plugin, removed [XX] that were unused, duplicated or replaceable with built-in WooCommerce / Elementor Pro features, and stopped scripts loading where they weren’t needed.
Speed optimisation. Optimised and lazy-loaded product imagery, set up caching, deferred non-critical CSS/JS, trimmed fonts and tuned the server for a fast first response.
UI/UX improvements. Clearer mega-menu navigation by category, style and audience; BIS Hallmark, free shipping, COD, 30-day returns and lifetime exchange surfaced where decisions happen; better product pages with swatches, wishlist and compare; and mobile-first layouts throughout.
